Working at AniCura: Quality
At AniCura we work together to achieve the highest quality. What does this mean for you?
The very best care
Every day in our clinics, we see hundreds of patients with their owners who come to AniCura for the very best care. But how do we ensure this high quality?
Our own quality program
We believe that pet owners and their pets have the right to the best veterinary care. That's why we operate under the Quality Management System (QMS). With the QMS, we work in a way that allows us to continuously improve.
The QMS consists of a list of 18 focus areas and a total of 73 quality standards. This includes mandatory equipment maintenance, the use of antibiotics, active monitoring of wound infections, and pharmacy management, for example.
What makes our quality system special is that it is externally audited by an independent entity: Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance. Lloyd's verifies whether we meet all quality standards.
Our clinics: everything in place for the best care
From Terneuzen to Assen. From primary care clinics to specialized referral centers. In the Netherlands, there are nearly 100 AniCura animal clinics, all carefully selected for their high-quality veterinary care before joining AniCura.
Each clinic is fully equipped with the necessary resources for fast and high-quality diagnostics.
With a well-equipped clinic, we can provide even better care. Furthermore, this ensures that you can quickly establish a diagnosis and potentially initiate treatment. This is beneficial for both the animals and their owners.
Improve work processes with your team
In the team, you consciously work every day to improve work processes within the clinic. By doing a little better each day than the day before, small improvements will ultimately add up to a significant one! And, importantly, working together becomes more enjoyable. You no longer repeatedly encounter the same issues, and you learn to collaboratively seek solutions. This is the way we work at AniCura!
Patient safety is part of our quality
The most important thing is that both pet owners and the animals feel comfortable and safe at AniCura. When something goes wrong, we want to learn from it to ensure it goes better next time. That's why we use a patient safety system. In this system, we record:
- What didn't go well
- Why it didn't go well
- What changes we need to make to prevent the same incident from happening again.
This way, we learn from our mistakes and continue to enhance our care and service.
